Behind The Lense!
What can I tell you about this image so that you can utilize the technique on subject matters that have the ability to pass light through to see detailed elements.
With this piece of Honeycomb I waited until the very late afternoon, so that the light that would pass through would be a more golden-warmer light.
I then placed the honeycomb into a very small window and utilized my macro lense and took several images at different angles and positions so that I could capture the inner catacomb pattern of the Honeycomb. I was very delighted with the effect that this produced and I encourage everyone to experiment with light and transparency to capture what eludes the eye!

Location
I took this photograph within my home in a small window of the house.Time
I used the late afternoon so that I could utilize the golden/warm light to enhance the inner catacomb of the Honeycomb.Lighting
Using the warmer light was the best choice with this particular piece, because if I had used the morning or midday light the highlights within would have been very over exposed. Therefore not allowing you to see the extremely intricate geometric shapes of the inner honeycomb.Equipment
At the time when I took this image I was just getting into photography and my first camera was the Cannon Powershot XS 400 series. I wore this camera out eventually!!Inspiration
The inspiration came from my new curiosity of what things really look like. Things that our eyes simply cannot see and being visually challenged what I saw really excited me, and it has been a passion for me ever since.Editing
No there wasn't any post processing other than minimizing the grainy feel to the image. In my camera bag
Currently I have only two lenses and one digital wide lense. So my tools are: Tripod Cannon Rebel EOS XSI Lenses - EFS 18-55mm; EF 75-300mm; Bower 0.45x digital wide with macroFeedback
