Behind The Lens

Location

This skull is hanging from a column on the back patio of my house near Canyon Lake Texas.

Time

This was taken December 31st 2022 at 5:29 PM.

Lighting

The late afternoon sun light was striking the skull at an oblique an angle.

Equipment

This was shot with my iPhone SE, 2nd generation.

Inspiration

Totally unplanned, looking out my window I noticed the sunlight reflecting off the skull giving a neon light effect on the column, knowing this wouldn't last long I ran out with my phone and made two exposures.

Editing

Imported into Lightroom where I did a slight crop to eliminate the edges of the column and opened up shadows a bit.

In my camera bag

Normally have a Sony a7RIII with a Sony 200-600mm.
