This photo for your viewing pleasure today is one taken locally this spring, when there was still ice on the lake and the birds were returning from migration. The loons are just stunning and this is one of my best captures of the freedom of stretching after a long flight. If you'd like to also vote for it in the competition, that'd be great too, but enjoy the photo!
