Sierra High country east of Yosemite Valley, its a view that very view take the time to find. but those who do are rewarded with one of the best that Yosemite has to offer. everyone loves photos of the valley and its iconic ramparts. but spending time in the park and really exploring the lesser known locations will reward the adventurous with more than just breathtaking views, such as this one but also the small and overlooked sights that all together instill in the inquisitive visitor with a perspective on our place and responsibility to this region and the planet as whole. Far to few will ever take the time or let alone try to understand what they are truly seeing on a visit to a wild place. Taken July 4 2015
