Johan and Sandra live in The Netherlands, 60 miles apart, and met 16 years ago. After their first date they knew they would be together for the rest of their lives, yet for whatever reason as committed as they were to each other, living together and getting married was not a priority; until recently. They have wanted to visit Iceland for all of its “Old” history very much together, and so one day they had the “New” idea to not only spend a vacation there, but to also get married and honeymoon there – How sweet is that? And as things started to crystallize, Sandra came up with the brilliant idea to get married in Celtic style dress, since they have such a strong affinity for the “Old” traditional Celtic lifestyle. Johan “Borrowed” his sister’s volunteer time to create all the bride and groom’s Celtic formal wear, doing an exceptional job making both her gown and his tartan “New” from scratch in the colors of royal “Blue” and white, using only a couple of a photos “Borrowed” from the Internet! Against this wonderful sky and “Blue” glacier-fed waterfall in Iceland, named Seljalandsfoss, their formal wear was a wonderful compliment. The Seljalandsfoss waterfall is on the river Seljalandsá, which is 130 ft high and drops over the cliffs, where it is said the “Old” former coastline of Iceland used to be.
