Thanks Robin, they were....but this picture is 3 years old....he passed away 2 months after this picture was taken.

Thank you, I know it's sad....but the photographer in me needed to share this photo! It's not often that you get to capture this sort of expression and emotion.

Sorry to hear your sad story. Life is about the moments and not the in-betweens. Moments are happy sad or special in some way. Great photographs need to tell a story and/or capture a moment.
