Location
Took this photo at the Hasselblad studio in London, during a competition final for Advanced Photographer Magazine in association with Hasselblad & Broncolor. I was one of six finalists competing for the font cover and the studio for a whole day.Time
It was around 14:30.Lighting
My key light was the Broncolor Para 222 , also known to many photographers as the "Death Star"...Equipment
The camera was the Hasselblad H5D with a 50mm lens, shot handheld at f/11, 1/250 sec, iso-100. As the key light the Broncolor Para 222, two strobe heads with barn doors for the back ground.Inspiration
Wanted something simple...a nice high key shot with nothing but a beautiful model.Editing
I desaturated the image, some exposure and contrast adjustments with skin cleaning. In my camera bag
Normanly two flashes, couple of lenses - a 18-55mm and a 50mm, ND & ND GRAD filters, rogue gels, cleaning gear, and spares of what ever I think might be needed for the day.Feedback
For this type of high key shot just keep it nice and simple. The posing and expression of the model is key.
