This is Lucky the Goldfish. I gave him this name the day I picked him up from the pet store and decided he'd lead a better life than most goldfish. I took Lucky and his fishbowl to the beach so he could witness a sunrise first hand at least once in his life. To me this photo also symbolizes our comfort zones and risk versus reward factors for success in life. Lucky could be content to stay within the confines of his comfortable surroundings and live a safe, moderately rewarding life. Lucky could also take a risk and cross the uncertain distance to a bigger, possibly more rewarding and exciting but potentially dangerous world outside his comfort zone where he may flourish, struggle or even perish. These are decisions we are all faced with in life. However, for Lucky, he is able to just relax and enjoy this sunrise for now.
