This macro shot is of the newly melting ice floe that has broken away from the Tasman Glacier near Mount Cook in New Zealand. As the ice melts under the lake surface the Ice Floe becomes unstable and turns over revealing the blue tinted ice which becomes clear and white after a few hours in the sunlight.
