The beautiful Diamond Diretail, endangered - captured in our back yard. We began with sighting one or two of these magnificent birds years ago, to now having around 10 or so in and around our yard. Very timid, but so beautiful. They love to splash in our bird bath.

Thanks Kazza - we are so lucky to have them, and glad that they find the area around our house and paddocks safe, and an environment in which to breed. It has been wonderful watching their numbers increase!

Thanks so much Janr. We are thrilled to have these endangered birds showing an increase in numbers. We are thrilled to bits!! They are very shy, but we are careful not to frighten them. It is wonderful. Their numbers have grown from 2 to around 15 or 20 on our property now. We can only hope for more now :)
