After a fun filled evening around a bonfire with 50 or so young people from my churches youth group - I stayed behind to take in the night sky. The bonfire had collapsed and now consisted of a few small flames but mostly burning embers. It was the perfect moment for me to practise some long exposure shots for what was pretty much my first time (alone anyway)
The fire was dull which meant, with a 30 second shutter it wouldn't overpower the photo, and I think it's worked. The night sky is beautiful. Its bright, and consists of many subtle colour changes. Its broken up from the bright fire by the deep and dark trees in the background. The seperation from man-made and natural light is my favourite aspect of this photo. Both are beautiful and yet they are so different.
