This is Robin, at the time of this photo his life was full of sadness as he had lost someone very close to him. He is my best friend, a true mentor and an inspiring man, one of strength, love, and encouragement. On this evening, we made a huge bonfire and spent time together teaching and sharing with one another. It was so hot next to the fire, so I stepped back to have a break. I picked up the camera and quickly turned it on robin as he was walking away from throwing a stump on the blazing pile of wood, leaves, and braches. At this moment he sternly said to me 'I hope you're not taking my picture dear boy!'
I denied.
This man is so loving, generous, and plays a huge part in guiding me through my struggles. I'm so happy that we can spend times like this together, with friends, Christ, and as a family.
As you can see, the background of the photograph features the sun streaming through the trees where it then landed up on the bonfire. It was beautiful, especially as it was exaggerated by the smoke rising up. A beautiful memory of a beautiful evening.
