I almost drowned in my effort to take this photo so i'm particularly proud of it. I just saw this child completely naked but utterly comfortable with his surroundings, sitting at the top of this huge waterfall in a village close to the jungle of Northern Bali, Indonesia..I jumped into the river, disregarding the strong current because there was no other way to get the shot...mind you i was wearing a long dress and sandals, not the proper attire certainly for this kind of attempt...i ended up falling in right after taking the shot, lost my sandals, and had to be rescued by a couple of locals...totally worth it though...

Awesome shot! Love the backstory too! Just gotta ask, did he see you fall and have to get rescued? (If I was him I would've been flattered and felt obligated to come down and meet you! ☺ï¸) and how did your camera handle the water?

no, i was far away, he didn't see me...he was a very small child, don't know if you can tell...about 4 or 5...
