With the recent sunshine bathing North Wales, I decided to take a hike up to the summit of Y Garn in Snowdonia.
Y Garn is the tenth highest peak in Wales at a height of 947m and forms part of the Glyderau range.
Translated the name means 'The Cairn'.
The summit was reached from Cwm Idwal via the Twll Du (Devil's Kitchen) path.
Despite a strenuous hike, the views of the surrounding areas from the summit were worth the effort taken to reach the top.
This panoramic image comprises of 8 images, from left to right on this image the following may be seen - the north east tip of Anglesey, the Carneddau mountains including Pen Yr Ole Wen, the Ogwen Valley, Tryfan and the Glyderau range including Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr.
