One of the true joys I have in life is travelling and experiencing new and beautiful places. There are certain moments at these destinations that can leave you breathless. This was one of those moments. After miles of hiking, I finally arrived at the place where the lava meets the sea. Unending billows of smoke rose from the shore where new land was actively being formed. Just as I took my camera out, a rainbow appeared over the dry, desolate lava fields to the right of the flow. Truly this was a gift to see and I wanted to capture it in it’s entire beauty. I'm usually not a panoramas kind of guy but this scene demanded it.
I hope and pray for the day when I can travel, explore, and venture out into this wide world and capture the unseen so that all of you can also experience the wonder this planet has to offer.
