Congratulations on your many Awards for this very moving and poignant street capture. Your chosen POV and Aperture setting very much played a part in the dynamics of this image. This young girls is the Future while we see the 'elder' woman looking on. I wonder what her dreams were when she was a child ? I hope she found many times to smile over the years and that life has not treated her too harshly. Impressive and speaks to my heart (the heart of a Mother and Grandmother)

I agree that this is an image worthy of all the awards you have received. For me this photograph is a powerful one because of the emotion it provokes and the conversation that followed when I showed it to my lover. To me the young girl looks unhappy and the dark circles around her eyes suggest she may be unhealthy or of a hard life. The mud and brick house is to us a sign of poverty but who knows? Perhaps where this photograph was taken, this house may be very grand. As I said, we had quite a conversation. Thank you for sharing such a moving image.
