Thank you, Deanne! This photo, I think, sums up our winter scenery and associated mood to a tee. The pale red glow from afar is only because it was at sunset, hence the title.

Thanks Heather. I think the very elements did the composition here and RAW post-processing was hardly needed. A sunset and rolling fog... what more can a photographer ask for?

Ah, not much editing was necessary in this case, my dear Edith. As stated above, the prism of the horizon did everything for me: a natural red/orange sunset chromatic complexity entangled with the giant's breath rendered an intriguing image, more than I hoped for. But thank you.

Thanks Rob! Plenty of fog in the UK. I was driving after work the other night and I thought I was going to crash into someone's garden... couldn't see 20 yards away!

Thanks Tracey! Great thing for photography that fog, but not for driving. We had a bad one a few days ago. On the way back from work, I amost crashed onto a lamp post and I was only doing 20 mph!

So was my luck in this case, Dave. Ha ha ha! But I know what you mean, because the fog does make one entranced. Thanks a lot for your comments!

On this capture Mick I'm almost lost for words...that's a feat! Wow! I'm melting into the gentle mellow scenery, soothing and beautiful to behold!

Thank you Sal! The veil of white is rolling across our fields and obscures our summer memories, such as they were...

Gorgeous colours and composition, with the fog as a definite bonus! Excellent!!

It feels much better having photographed it and beholding it than actually be there at the time. This was a thick fog, as far as I remember. It was bad enough when I got into the car and drove home. Thank you, Jamie!
