Scott volunteered to participate in a photo/interview series on invisible and chronic illness, titled "In Sight". The photo and quotes are shared with his informed consent and approval. His story in this series begins as follows in the first of four photographs/captions.

Scott is a successful consultant who spends much of his time on calls and presentations with clients and colleagues. Many days there is no face-to-face meeting at all, for all that his favorite theme, one he follows himself in person and otherwise, has long been: "It's about people". When I asked why he decided to participate in this project, he had to pause and think for a moment. "I don't know," he admitted at first, but soon figured it out: "It's about the amazing kids I was with...mostly when I was little, 7 or so," Scott realized, referring to the time he spent in hospitals with other children while getting surgeries between the ages of 7 and 16.
