Wrather Arch is a fairly large arch - about 250-feet across and 165-feet high. Anglos first saw it from the air - it is in a pretty inaccessible side-canyon off Paria Canyon. The only way in is to backpack about 2/3 of the way down Paria, then hike up the side canyon. The side canyon is a "box canyon" - at its upper end, there are sheer cliffs 100-feet to 200-feet high to get up onto the mesa to the west.
