Newfoundland's iceberg Alley. In the August of 2010 a large chunk of ice broke off the Petermann Glacier in Greenland The largest iceberg on record was 4 times the size of Manhattan. Slowly as it started to float down iceberg alley the iceberg broke into smaller chunk. People in boats were seen chipping off the ice to use in alcohol. This is extremely dangerous as the bergs can tumble and flip over. There were streams of water running down the sides. It was an amazing site to see.
