I’ve been trying to find and photograph this Snowy owl for over a month but without success. On my 5th trip to an area about an hour outside of Ottawa I finally spotted him and spent about 5 hours following him around an area covering about 3 square miles. Standing in the middle of an open field with the wind howling in your face and temperatures hovering around -10ºC with windchill of -20ºC was well worth it. Taken in Ste-Rose, Ontario, Canada area with a Canon 40D, Canon 300 2.8 IS lens

Great shot.
Have you ever captured an Arctic Horned Owl? They are also very beautiful. I hope to visiting British Columbia in the fall. I would like to shoot some Snowys.
