Heard a story about croissants. dont know how true it was. but i went to romania and was told the the turkish empire managed to get across romania to hungry only to be stopped by the walls of veinna. so when they were defeated they baked crescent shape bread and broke them. as a sign to the turkish your beaten and a form of offence.
