I love owls and I love this photo. I have only captured 2 owls in the wild and the rest I took at a nature center that rescued and rehabbed them but could not release them back into the wild so they care for them. i LOVE the eyes.

I hope to take pictures of this bird in the wild one day. This captive bird shows us how beautiful they are.

Is this a Eurasian eagle owl ??? The orange eyes tell me that it is almost identical to one that we saw in Austria this past October at a bird sanctuary demo . Fabulous creature captive or wild !!!

Yes it is, luckily over here in Belgium their number is slowly increasing again. Wonderful birds.
