Commissioned in 1900, the Edward M Cotter is the oldest active fireboat in the world. It is owned and operated by the Buffalo Fire Dept. and is on the national historic registry. Buffalo Main light was first lit in 1833, eight years after the Erie Canal opened. I love to go down to the harbor, especially on Wednesday nights in the summer when all the sailboats are coming in from their weekly regatta. It's a very vibrant place and we always meet interesting people down there.

yeah that's the boat. I've been that many times. Love your shots they are so similar to mine. I just love four seasons here. Though I'm not so hip on cold. But can get some great shots then too.

I love that the way the boat is positioned, it looks like the lighthouse is it's nose, or mast...or something.
