"Climbing is about finding the solution", or so I'm told by my eager, yet collected, good friend and climbing instructor, Teodor Iliev (23). The picture was taken in the middle of a stand-off between him and the 40 foot wall of rock that stood with an expected resilience towards his ascent. The light which catches him on his right side is from a hidden noon sun that only just creeps around the rock-face and sets a nearly perfect silhouette. I shot this on a Canon 5D Mkii, with a 50mm prime lens, 1.8f.
