En route to the summit of Northwest Peak, we paused to allow the passage of a small thunderstorm. At those altitudes (nearly touching the cloud bases), the air was very cold and the wind was a beast.

Waiting for the mini-storm to pass, I grabbed a few shots overlooking Hawkins Lake. The dynamic shadows made it one of my favorite shots of the entire hike.
