While on vacation in New Orleans, LA, I just knew I had to take a swamp tour to capture this exact photo. The detail of the eyes as well as the color make the image have that sort of feel to it. Being less than 10 feet away from a reptile that can make a good day turn bad in just a few seconds has a kind of vulnerability to it which made capturing the image all the more fulfilling
