Before I even got here last week, I had a vision of an image I wanted to create. It included a shot of the lighthouse with its light echoing out to the see and the ferocious waves exploding beneath. I was excited to be able to snag a blue hour image and some pretty epic wave crashes to use and composite.

What wasn’t in my plan, was the sliver of the moon you see here. Just as I was packing up to leave... @jasonkudlophotography yells “Yooo, look behind you”! Sure enough the clouds were breaking, the moon was peaking out and the stars began to shimmer. I had to work fast. A few minutes and just like that, the moon set behind the marine layer. All day, we were showered on by rain and hangry as mothasuckas! (I didn’t plan on shooting the whole day lol). But 2k shots later, we were rewarded with the cherry on top and I got above and beyond my initial vision.????
