This tunnel was constructed in 1906 as part of the one-abandoned rail line, linking up all the small town along the north-eastern coast of New South Wales, Australia. About half way along the tunnel there's a large colony of bats (in this photo, it's about where the shadows are on the roof of the tunnel, just around the bend). Naturally at each entrance to the tunnel, there's plenty of graffiti. Unfortunately my most vivid memory of this tunnel was the stench from the bats. Fortunately that doesn't come through in the photographs.
