Getting the perfect combination of different color and shades in one frame is really a tough Job.Its require to understand your environment and and should able to visualize what you wants in your photography.

Whats make this photo unique is different color, different light reflection and different shades in one frame.

Above the waterfall starting point you can see sky. To get sky color you need high shutter speed and minimum light.
Left side of stone(which divide waterfall in two part) you can see narrow line which divide direct sunlight and shadow part of water. Shadow part require more light (means low shutter speed and less f stop)for perfect color and direct sunlight part require less light(high shutter speed and high f stop).
And at last green color of leaf and small orange color of flower(or may be dead leaf) require different shade.
