I have only seen Hummingbird Moths once on my property. They look just like hummingbirds when they are flapping their wings.

These young Pileated Woodpeckers are waiting for Mom and Dad . They were high up in their nest .

I used my 70-200 lens and got as close as I could without scaring this hummingbird moth.

Played with this in Photoshop and just had fun with it.

Up Up & Away

It was Thanksgiving and we went hosrseback riding . Played with this photo using On One Software.

Followed this grouse for quite a while. The Ruffed Grouse is the most widespread game bird in North America. The male is known for his wing beating

There were two baby squirrels playing in a blue bird house. This one was looking at me through the hole. They were adorable.

These baby waxwings were waiting to get fed. There were five of these little young ones. The nest had man made materials intertwined into it.
