I have traveled to many countries as part of my photography journeys and I always find the images of people, particularly children in these countries to be fascinating. As much as possible, I try to capture natural images that reflect the essence of the person. I took this image of a young girl at a local market in southern Peru, where she accompanied her mother begging for money. In this image I saw sadness, a sense of helplessness and insecurity. These types of images are my inspiration.
