A mile or two into Buckskin Gulch.

If you view this in full screen mode, you'll probably notice a lot of debris from tree trunks and branches some 10+ metres above the canyon floor. This debris is from flash floods.

Many slot canyons are the drainage of stream whose source is many miles away. It may be completely sunny in the canyon, but if there's a thunderstorm dumping a large amount of rain into the drainage of that canyon, the consequences for you may be fatal
