Barbara is an Old Order Amish woman who lives on my road. She and her husband endured a lot--loss of children, health problems, and more--but they have always had a kind word and a smile every time I've talked to them. Barbara lost her husband to cancer two years ago. They used to both walk every day, but now she takes her daily stroll on our country road alone.
