Charles Tree was based off of another photo of mine called "The Moon Tree." The Moon Tree was the photo that broke me into the art world. The first competition that I have ever entered was with TMT and it won an award. It was well received in the city I live in and infact one of the copies hangs at one of the local bars called The Mouse Trap. Now one of the regulars that frequented that bar fell in love with that photo, his name is Charlie. He liked it so much that he went to one of the local art galleries and bought a copy and told the owners that he would like to meet me. So I met him at a local bar and had a couple of beers with him and we quickly became good friends. He then told me about this unknown gem of a park located outside of very small town called Humbird, WI. So one day we made a day trip there. The park is actually a mound that was under water millions of years ago. You could feel the magical energy of this place, it was awesome! And after I hunted around for awhile I saw this lone tree growing out of the rock ledge about twenty feet above me. So I climb up this ledge and took the shot. And since my new found friend had shown me this wonderful place I had decided to name the picture after him. And that's how "Charlie's Tree" came to be. Enjoy!
