Recently, we took my office manager's daughter up to visit a friend's small property where they raise chickens, sell eggs, have a couple horses, and maintain a small set of organic vegetable gardens. As a child of the varrio, this is all basically outside her normal experience. She rode the horses (both of them!), hunted for tomato worms, picked vegetables, and stole eggs from the chickens. She's a shy girl, and is stingy with the smiles. In this shot, she had been walking away from me (I may post a shot of her back, which turned out nice enough, too). I kept trying to get her to turn around and smile, but she just wouldn't do it. I kept my camera trained on her, as I knew from experience that she would sometimes "slip up" and smile, and I hoped to catch her at some point.
Just before she was going to go through the door, and out of my sight, she apparently thought she could catch me off guard. She turned just as she went through the door.
That was all I needed to capture this nice candid shot.

I'm noticing that since uploading it, it appears a little more blue than it should. :( Guess I need to recalibrate, or double-check what colorspace I'm uploading.
