Early morning on the dawn of the Summer Solstice, I awaken on a desolate mesa high above the bay. It's at this moment I stand taller than all of Ontario Canada at over 1800 feet. The rails of the lookout obstruct my view, as if imprisoning me from seeing Lake Superior far below. I slowly walk onto the platform. A cool breeze of clean air, washes against my face. The water is calm. I hear nothing but silence. I glance downward through the slats of the boardwalk and can see treetops of a forest hundreds of feet beneath me. I freeze. Vertigo sets in. I laugh and slowly cower backward to a less closer point of view, then smile and whisper to myself, "I'm in Canada!".
