Great subject. we a fortunate that some of the NZ birds are so approachable A couple of comments if I may
this is a good photo however the shadow of the twig and the brightness of the light take a toll. They are distracting. You have the sparkle in the eye essential in Bird Photography and the focus is sharp the twig on the left is also a distraction could be cropped but the shadow remains .....s o awareness of the angle of light is important it still is a good photo. hope that helps I look forward to seeing more Cheers

Sorry for break got distracted. Anyway thanks for your guidance it is very much appreciated. I am still learning don't know much about software or post processing. I will take the image and try do so what you said. Still not sure how to remove shadow from the twig without making image blurry but this is one thing I still have to learn. Thanks a lot.
