There is a blue germ hat hangs out in J.I. Case Lake in eastern Vigo County, Indiana, US that I can see from only afar, and the limited magnification of my cellphone camera never lets me get a good shot of it. I was shocked today when I came upon this blue heron in the pond at Dobbs Park Nature Center, which is southwest of J.I. Case Lake. I was fascinated by how the heron seed to be wading along the side of the pond.
