Why do we do it? What makes this job so inviting? For the guts and glory? To be called a hero? You ask a firefighter why they do it, most can't tell you. It's not for the money! Most will tell you "it's in my blood", and every one of them will tell you " I love it!" Day and night you think about the job. You hear a siren or see a fire truck you take notice. You own fifty fire shirts from all over the county and wear them proud till they fall apart. Any where you go you can stop into a fire house walk in they call you brother. Dedication to a profession that you can't even call work. You do it because you love it.
