This is one of the 17 funeral processions held on the day that my son and I visited Arlington - March 31, 2012. I snapped this as we were walking away from the Tomb of the Unknowns. We heard several gun salutes fired while we observed the Guard and Wreath ceremonies at the Tomb. Of the four days we spent in DC, this will be the day that I remember the most. It took several eye-straining hours of cutting the mask to color pop the cherry blossoms. I am grateful for those who appreciate this image and have taken the time to send me a note.

I wish I could see this in a large format. Print this large if nothing else for your self and son.

Great image. I was in Arlington last week. The cherry blossoms were almost gone. Maybe I'll get to see them in full bloom next year.

Godspeed to that warrior; peace and prayers to the family. What a moving photo. I was there the second weekend in April, but there were no funerals taking place during my visit, which our guide said was unusual. Thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute.
