Replica of the Amsterdam, a 3 -masted sailboat, originally moored by Het Scheepvaart Museum, Amsterdam. Owned by The Dutch East India Company to transport domestic goods, building materials 27 cases of silver guilders from Texel in the Netherlands to Batavia. Unfortunately the boat was lost in storm on her maiden voyage and now lies buried deep in the mud 5 miles east of Hastings in the UK with most of her cargo still on board
