On the edge of a lakeside dock, a spider clutches a prized catch - a red lobster leg. It allowed me to get quite close with my camera, perhaps afraid of dropping its catch into the water below if it suddenly moved.
Crabs, lobsters, shrimp, barnacles and many other animals belong to the phylum arthropods. In fact, 75% of all animals belong to the phylum arthropoda (which also includes spiders and insects).
