I caught this sunrise from the top of Tanyard Gap in Madison County, North Carolina.
While I was heading home from work, I noticed some faint purple tinges along the cloud edges.
I was pretty tired but turned the car around and raced for Tanyard Gap.
After about 10 minutes, this scene erupted.
I shot some usual wide angle shots and then decided to put the zoom lens on and do a silhouette sunrise shot.
The color on this shot has not been edited at all. No saturation illumination, etc. Just some minor adjustments including contrast, clarity, etc.
