One of the things I've always wanted to do is see New England in the Fall; we don't get such pretty colors in the autumn down here in Houston as they do way up North. Our pretty colors come in Spring with the bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrush, and other wildflowers along our highways and in our fields and pastures. But I've always wanted to see fall in the northeast, and this year I got to do so during a road trip I took to a cousin's wedding in Baltimore. After the wedding I continued up to Maine for a couple of days, and then drove to Buffalo, NY via a mountain road (which was totally not what I meant to do! Being from flat, swampy Houston, the idea of driving on winding mountain roads scares me, but I made it alive and with sanity relatively intact.)
