I really have no idea if this boat was simply abandoned here on the rocky shores of the town of Ammoudi, on the island of Thira (Santorini), or if it was placed here as a work of art. I suspect the former - Ammoudi is a tiny town, certainly picturesque but not a major tourist trap such as Oia, and I would guess that its residents are more focused on eking out a living than on creative pursuits that won't make much money. But what really caught my attention about this boat is what you see around the edges: traces of color that are much more visible but less tantalizing when viewed from the side rather than above.
