Always good to keep a camera close at hand. This is a prime example. The camera was a point and shoot- sucks for most situations but for landscapes-For landscapes- well, it offers serious competition to other cameras. Note to those that do not know: Point and shoot once were known as Point and Shoot for the fixed aperature ( high Fstop like around 16 and above- thus for infinity focus) and fixed shutter speed ( usually around 250-500). Not much changed except maybe the speed. Thus a point and shoot is limited when it comes to portraits, macro, nature in motion or when resolution is of utmost importance (( low fstop (1.2 ). But, as the saying goes - it is better to be minimally prepared than not prepared at all.
