Orchha or Urchha is a town in Tikamgarh district of MP, on the Betwa river, 15kms from Jhansi. The picture encompasses a beautiful scene of the Jahangir Mahal, a domed palace with towers on the four corners and articulated works ornamenting the mass through brackets and balconies. The picture also captures beside the palace, the Chaturbhuj Temple, an imposing structure with spires atop a high platform dating back to the 9th century.
