As most East Asian countries Burma is Buddhist and therefore you can find a temple almost everywhere. This is Swedagon the most important one in Yangon with a 99m high pagoda in the middle. I waited until the sun would set as it is such a beautiful place and people walk and sit around as if it was a mall or a regular plaza.
