Tracy Arm, Alaska is where the Sawyer Glacier is located. It is a magnificent representation of an Alaskan glacier with its incredible range of blues in the ice. Unless you experience seeing this beautiful natural site you will not be able to truly appreciate a glacier calving. Not only are the colors breathtaking, but the sounds of the ice cracking and crashing in the water, combined with the waves and icebergs that follow a calving make the experience whole. If we do not take immediate action to turn around climate change, this glacier and others will probably be gone in our children's or grandchildren's lifetimes. So much marine and mammal life depends upon this delicate balance of nature that those species will also be eradicated if EACH of us don't step up and take responsibility for our part in the destruction of our planet.
